01) open the file: alpha-in the eyes-colombe.pspimage
minimize it
02) File / New / 700 x 550 px / transparent
set your FGC to: #898694
and yourBGC to: white
floof fill your picture with this gradient:
Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur: Radius: 35
Effects / Texture Effects / Weave:
Adjust / Sharpness / Sharpen
02) Selections / Select all
Selections / Modify / Contract to: 30 px
Layers / New Raster Layer
flood fill with your light BGC: white
keep selected
03) Selections / Modify / Contract to: 1 px
Edit / Cut (hit delete key once)
flood fill selection with your gradient:
Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur: Radius: 35
Deselect
Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow:
colour: dark FGC
& 
Layers / Merge / Merge Visible
04) Selections / Load/Save Selection / Load Selection From Alpha-Channel:
Layers / New Raster Layer
flood fill selection with your light BGC: white
keep selected
05) Selections / Modify / Contract to: 1 px
Edit / Cut (hit delete key once)
