minimize it
back to selection

 Edit / Paste into selection

Deselect

Effects / Image Effects / Seamless Tiling:
default settings

Adjust / Blur / Gaussian Blur: Radius 30

03) Layers / Duplicate

hide top layer

activate bottom layer: Raster 1

activate and unhide top layer again
